JOINT COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE AND FOOD debate -
Wednesday, 15 Dec 2004

Messages to Dáil and Seanad.

In accordance with Standing Order 85 the following message will be sent to the Dáil:

The Joint Committee on Agriculture and Food has completed its consideration of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations 2004.

In accordance with Standing Order 67 the following message will be sent to the Seanad:

The Joint Committee on Agriculture and Food has completed its consideration of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations 2004.

Has the committee any views on whether there should be a further debate on the motion in either the Dáil or Seanad? No. I take it, therefore, that the committee recommends there should be no further debate on the motion by Dáil Éireann or Seanad Éireann. Is that agreed? Agreed.

I thank the Minister and her officials for being with us today. On behalf of the committee I wish her and her officials a happy Christmas and best wishes for 2005. Will the committee agree to suspend the meeting to allow the Minister and her officials to depart? Agreed.

I re-echo the sentiments expressed by the Chairman to the committee and the staff. I am sure we will have a fruitful working relationship.

I have no doubt about that. I thank the Minister.
