The first item I must deal with is the election of Vice Chairman. Standing Order 92 provides that, following the election of the Chairman, every committee shall elect one of its members to be Vice Chairman. I call for nominations for the position of Vice Chairman.

I nominate Senator Mary White for the position of Vice Chairman. Like the Chairman, she has demonstrated a clear interest in this subject. I look forward to working with both of them.
As there are no other nominations, I declare that Senator Mary White has been elected Vice Chairman of the sub-committee. I congratulate her on her election and look forward to working with her. I propose that we go into private session to organise our schedule. Is that agreed? Agreed.
