The first item on the agenda is the election of a Vice Chairman. Members will be aware that Deputy Joanna Tuffy has been discharged from the committee and Deputy Anne Ferris appointed in her place. I thank Deputy Tuffy for her contribution to the committee. I welcome Deputy Anne Ferris and look forward to working with her.

Deputy Tuffy was the Vice Chairman so it is necessary to elect a new one and I call for nominations.

I thank the Chairman. I thank my proposer, Senator Bacik, and Senator Conway. I am delighted to be appointed to the committee. I have always had a great interest in it and I work in such an area. Following the earlier briefing on the insolvency Bill I know we will be very busy for the next couple of months and know the Minister would like to see great progress made on it before the summer. As I said, it is an area that I have a great interest in and I have worked in it in some capacity. I promise all members that I will do my best.
