Vol. 41 No. 3

Order of Business.

Business will be taken as set out on the Order Paper, with this exception, that at four o'clock the debate on Motion No. 4 will be taken, as the Minister for Finance will be available then, and the debate on the motion will continue without interruption until seven o'clock. In the event of the business interrupted at four o'clock continuing, it will be continued at seven o'clock until completed. There will, therefore, be no tea interval this evening. Items No. 5 and No. 6 on the Order Paper will not be taken.

Items No. 5 and No. 6 will not be taken?

They will be adjourned. There will be no tea interval. I think it is undesirable that we should sit to-morrow. That is the main purpose because our experience with Friday sittings has been that they have been sparsely attended.

Motion No. 5 has been on the Order Paper for a considerable time, costing the country a certain amount to print, and if we can fit it in between four and seven o'clock, will there be any objection?

The Minister will not be in a position to take it up; he will not be available.

I had hopes he would be, because it is some six months since the motion was put down.

Is the arrangement of business agreed?

Agreed.
