Seanad Éireann debate -
Friday, 8 Aug 1975

Vol. 82 No. 16

Business of Seanad.

I should like to consult the opinion of the House about the Adjournment. I thought we might come back, say, about the first week in September.

None of this heavy humour.

It is proposed to adjourn sine die. For the information of Senators, I should say that the Minister for Lands hopes to be in a position to proceed with the Wildlife Bill sometime in October. I would expect that we would resume about mid-October. I do not want to commit the Minister to that.

If there is not a general election before that.

Could that comment of Senator Halligan's be recorded in the Official Report?

Before I adjourn the Seanad I am sure Members would like me, on their behalf, to thank all the officials of Leinster House who, through long hours and many days, have served us very well during this session.

The Seanad adjourned at 5 p.m. sine die.
