Seanad Éireann debate -
Tuesday, 14 Jun 1988

Vol. 120 No. 3

Request under Standing Order 29.

I have notice from Senator Shane Ross regarding a Motion which he wishes to move under Standing Order 29. I now call on Senator Ross.

I wish to move a Motion for the Adjournment of the Seanad on a specific and important matter of public interest requiring urgent consideration, the matter being the collapse in the extradition arrangements between Ireland and the United Kingdom.

I have decided that the Motion is one covered by Standing Order 29 and I ask the Senators who support the request to rise in their places.

Five or more Senators stood.

The debate on the Motion will take place at the conclusion of business.
