I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to make a statement on the resumption of practical based apprenticeship courses.Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to provide an update on the timeline for redress and supports for homeowners affected by apartment defects. Senator Sharon Keogan - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the remote area grant under the school transport scheme.Senator John McGahon - The need for the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications to consider direct air capture technology as a means of reaching 2030 and 2050 climate targets.Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to make a statement on Ireland's policy on engagement with China.Senator Tom Clonan - The need for the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to make a statement on the classification of graduate entry medicine as a level eight degree course.Senator Garret Ahearn - The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the delays in processing driving tests.The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Fiona O'Loughlin, Mary Seery Kearney, Sharon Keogan and John McGahon. They will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
