In accordance with Standing Order 79B I propose that the following message be sent to the Clerk of the Dáil:
The Select Committee on Foreign Affairs has completed its consideration of the Geneva Convention (Amendment) Bill, 1997, and has made amendments thereto and has amended the title thereof.
Is that agreed?
On section 12, the date should be changed to read "1998", not "1997". I presume that is done automatically and that it is not necessary to table an amendment in this regard. The Clerk to the Committee will send a written message to the Clerk of the Dáil to the effect I have outlined and the Ceann Comhairle will convey that message to the Dáil at the first convenient opportunity.
Report agreed to.
Ordered to report to the Dáil accordingly.
