I welcome the Minister and her officials to consider the Broadcasting Bill, 1999. Members of the committee asked me to obtain from the officials an explanation for the new amendments which have been tabled. They have difficulty understanding how all the changes blend together. Normally, the amendments would be explained as we reach them but there are many amendments and an extensive change to the legislation is involved. Will the Minister consider that for the benefit of the committee? We will go into private session if she is agreeable.
