Before we start, I want to clear the air. We cannot accept new amendments at this stage because of a decision taken earlier in our deliberations. We then decided that, as and from the second meeting, no new amendments could be accepted.
Procedure
I appreciate that. There were some amendments which I wished to put forward. I had considered having them stencilled for circulation to members. I quite accept the Minister's difficulty in accepting them now. I might, perhaps, informally circulate them and I might be permitted to raise them on the relevant section.
Would it be in order to raise them in the Dáil? Could they be submitted at that stage? It is a technical point.
They cannot be submitted to the Committee.
I left them in and thought it might be useful to have them stencilled. I do not propose to introduce them.
As I have explained, because of the decision we made it will not be possible to have them discussed.
