The Labour Force Survey (LFS) is a household survey which provides quarterly statistics on employment and unemployment and is the official source of labour market estimates in the State. The classification of employment status in LFS results is determined according to ILO (International Labour Organisation) concepts and definitions.

The most recent LFS figures available are for Quarter 2 (Q2) 2022. The LFS economic sectoral employment figures are based on the EU NACE Rev. 2 classification.

The table below shows the number of persons aged 15-89 years in full-time and part-time employment (ILO) in the State classified by NACE Rev.2 Economic Sector A (Agriculture, forestry and fishing) in the second quarter 2012 to 2022.
