Deputy Jennifer Carroll MacNeill asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the number of properties completed in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown in the years 2020 to date in 2024, in tabular form; the breakdown of these properties, if available, for example, house, apartment, for sale, social housing, affordable purchase, cost rental or rental; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerData on new dwelling completions are published on a quarterly basis by the CSO on its website at the following link: data.cso.ie/table/NDQ06. The data are disaggregated by local authority and dwelling type i.e. single houses, scheme houses and apartments. A breakdown of the number of these homes likely to be available for sale or rent is not provided.
Separately, my department publishes comprehensive programme-level statistics on a quarterly basis on affordable housing delivery activity in each local authority. My department also publishes the Social Housing Construction Status Report. The report provides details of social housing developments, and their location, that have been completed, are under construction or are progressing through the various stages of the design and tender processes.
