My Department is committed to ensuring that the Corporate Enforcement Authority (CEA) is appropriately resourced, both in terms of the human resources and financial supports required.

Budget 2025 included a budget increase for the CEA which included an increase to its pay allocation for the hiring of additional specialist staff identified in the CEA’s assessment of its requirements to carry out its statutory functions.

The CEA currently has an approved staff complement of 89. This includes 73 civil servants (of which 9 are either Senior Legal Advisors or Senior Forensic Accountants in situ) and 16 are seconded members of An Garda Síochána (AGS).

Set out in tabular format below is the number of WTE Senior Legal Advisors and Senior Forensic Accounts employed by Corporate Enforcement Authority as of 1 January 2023 and 9 January 2025.
