There are several car parks within Glenveagh National Park. The main visitor centre car park has tarred roadways and coach parking which were last resurfaced in 2023 with the adjacent parking spaces gravelled.   The design purpose of this split in surfacing materials is to improve drainage and reduce the volume of surface run off.

In 2022/23 a new overflow car park was built onto the existing main visitor centre car park with an additional 60 spaces. This also has tarred road surface and gravel parking spaces which are unmarked.  The car park on the Churchill side of Glenveagh National Park at the Lough Insagh entrance was surfaced in 2015, there are no parking space markings.

The car park at Billy’s Pit at the head of Glenveagh National Park has not been surfaced and is subject to review with a view to applying for planning consent for a new car park with surfacing to be submitted later in 2025.
