My Department and the agencies under its aegis fund and promote the development of Irish enterprise. It is also charged with promoting fair competition in the marketplace, protecting consumers and safeguarding workers. My Department serves a diverse range of target audiences, including:
• Entrepreneurs and Start-ups: Championing enterprise and fostering innovation.
• SMEs and Microenterprises: Providing tailored support and resources.
• Investors and Global Businesses: growing and sustaining FDI in Ireland.
• Workers and Employers: Ensuring safe, flexible, and fair workplaces.
As such, our services and programmes do not generally support private individuals and households.
The Department provides various supports and services to businesses, particularly SMEs. These services may include access to finance, business advisory services, training and skills development programs, and assistance with export promotion. Information on these services can be found online at the National Enterprise Hub at www.neh.gov.ie/ which brings together information and resources on over 180 government supports.
