Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will consider offering an amnesty to those that applied pre-Covid-19 for a category B/BE driver licence authorising persons to tow a trailer in view of the fact that they would have completed all required lessons and would also have been given a test date only for the test to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that persons that may have applied for this are relying on same for employment reasons and cannot afford to wait until full services are resumed to obtain same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
