Deputy Joanna Tuffy asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will clarify if workers retiring at 65 years who cannot access the State pension transition from 1 January 2014 and who are eligible for jobseeker's benefit will be subject to the change introduced in budget 2013 which provides for a reduction in the duration of jobseeker's benefit by three months from 3 April 2013, nine months or six months depending on the number of accrued PRSI contributions; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
