Vol. 2 No. 33

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - CROSSMOLINA CLAIM.

To ask the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a sum of £39 16s. is due to Mr. Michael Gallagher, Ballina Street, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo, for work carried out for the National Army in Crossmolina; also whether he is aware that although the account has been certified as correct by the Officer Commanding Engineers, Ballina, unsuccessful applications have been made for the amount to the Quartermaster, North Mayo Brigade, and also to the Claims Officer, Portobello Barracks, Dublin, and if he will issue instructions to have the amount paid at once.

The account in question was received, but it was not certified correct by any military officer. It is under local examination at the present moment, and its consideration will be expedited.
