To ask the Minister for Defence to state the reason for the arrest of William Mannion, Hill of Berries, Athlone, on September 23rd, 1922, and his detention in Custume Barracks, Athlone; if the Minister is aware that the prisoner has signed the undertaking required by the Government, and that the Canon and Clergy of the Parish have gone security for him. Further, to ask if it is intended, in view of the above undertakings, to keep the prisoner in custody.
