CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - MOTOR CAR COMMANDEERED AT ATHLONE.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a motor car the property of Mr. James Curley, King Street, Athlone, was commandeered by National troops on July 12th, 1922; whether it was destroyed by fire while in their possession; further, whether he is aware that Mr. Curley has lodged a claim for £227 10s. Od., and has made several applications for payment without result; and as the applicant was solely dependent on the motor car for his livelihood, will the Minister see that the claim is paid.

Mr. Curley's car was commandeered and burned as stated. His claim is receiving attention.
