Vol. 6 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - RATHKEALE UNION PROTESTANT CHAPLAIN.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether owing to the burning of the workhouse at Rathkeale, Co. Limerick, the employment of a Protestant Chaplain to the Union has ceased, and whether in view of the fact that the recent occupant of the post has held it since 1905, he is entitled to any pension or compensation.

The appointment in question terminated in consequence of the Amalgamation Scheme. As the Chaplain did not devote his whole time to the service of the Union he is not legally entitled to any pension or compensation.
