Vol. 6 No. 12

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - GORT ARMY ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that John Corcoran, carter, Gort, has been engaged since February, 1923, to cart supplies to and from Gort Station by the military, that no payment has been made to him since March, 1923; that a sum of £68 odd is now due to him for which repeated applications have been made, and whether as this man cannot afford to be so long out of his money the Minister will see that immediate payment is made to him.

Accounts to the value of £14 5s. 0d. have been received from Mr. Corcoran, and are being dealt with. He has been requested to furnish particulars of any other claims. On receipt they will have due attention.
