asked the Minister for Home Affairs if he is aware that the premises of Mr. M. Vaughan, Lahinch, Co. Clare, were raided on the 26th inst. by members of the Gárda Síochána holding a warrant to search for wireless apparatus, and if he will state if any other raids of a similar nature have been reported to him.

Mr. O'HIGGINS

I have ascertained that the premises of Mr. M. Vaughan, Lahinch, Co. Clare, were searched by the Gárda Síochána. A full report has not, however, been received, and I cannot at the moment state whether the officer concerned acted within his authority. A full report on the subject has been called for, and I will let the Deputy know the result.
