Vol. 6 No. 31

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - GARAGE PROPRIETORS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is proposed to set up a tribunal to deal with claims for compensation lodged by garage proprietors for motor vehicles sold by order of the British Government on account of the political activities of the owners of such vehicles.

The Government have repeatedly brought to the notice of the British Government the necessity for expediting the establishment of a Tribunal to hear cases of this kind, and negotiations are still being actively pursued. When a definite agreement on the outstanding points at issue has been reached, a public announcement will be issued without delay.
