Vol. 6 No. 35

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CO. CAVAN ARMY ACCOUNTS.

SEAN MAC GIOLLA 'N RIOGH

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state what is the reason for the delay in payment of the accounts due to Mr. Edward Maguire, of Blacklion, Co. Cavan, the amounts in question being £114 9s. 7½d. for Blacklion Barracks, due since 11th September, 1922, and £141 7s. 4d. for Dowra Barracks, due since 10th April, 1923; if he is aware that these amounts have been certified by the officers and Quartermaster responsible and furnished repeatedly, and if he will see that they are dealt with immediately.

It is regretted that the receipt at Headquarters of Mr. Maguire's claims cannot be traced. Enquiries are being made with a view to the early settlement of the matter.
