Vol. 6 No. 36

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR CHEMICAL SUPPLIES

SEAN MAC GIOLLA 'N RIOGH

asked the Minister for Defence if he can state why the amount of £48 14s. 2d. due to John S. Smyth, L.P.S.I., Medical Hall, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, for chemical supplies obtained in 1921 has not been paid, and if he will give instructions that the account be paid forthwith.

Mr. Smyth's account arose during the period prior to the inception of the Provisional Government. The question has yet to be considered as to what extent and from what funds claims arising during that period will be met. Pending a general decision, it is regretted that it is not practicable to deal with Mr. Smyth's account.
