Vol. 7 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TRADES FACILITIES ACT.

asked the President if he will state whether the Trades Facilities Act, 1921, is in operation in the Irish Free State, and, if not, if he will take steps to bring it into operation with a view to encouraging capital for the development of Irish industries and create much-needed employment.

The Trades Facilities Act, 1921, has expired and has not been re-enacted in the Saorstát. As was stated by the Minister for Industry and Commerce in reply to a question on the 13th February last, the introduction of a Bill on similar lines is under consideration.
