Vol. 7 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RETURN OF GUNS SEIZED BY BRITISH FORCES.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he is aware that a number of guns which were seized by the British forces in pre-Truce days are still in their hands and cannot be recovered by the owners, even where those owners hold receipts, and whether he will make application to the British authorities for the immediate return of those guns to the owners; further, if those guns are not available for return, whether he will make representations to the British Government so that compensation may be granted to the owners.

The arrangements which are being made to have these arms returned will be completed at an early date.
