Vol. 7 No. 1

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ENNIS SOLDIER'S PAY.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that William O'Brien, Summ's Lane, Ennis, joined the National Army as a skilled carpenter on 30th October, 1922, and was discharged on 5th January, 1924, and that his rate of pay during that period was 38s. 6d. per week instead of 45s. 6d per week, as was ordinarily paid to tradesmen, and whether he will now cause the deficit to be made good.

Mr. O'Brien appears to have received the rate of pay to which he was entitled. Enquiries are, however, being made in the matter, and I will communicate further with the Deputy as soon as possible.
