Vol. 7 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BLACKCASTLE (KILDARE) PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance if by a decree of the County Court of Leix, dated the 19th of June, 1923, Mr. Patrick T. Brennan, of Black-castle, Maganey, Co. Kildare, was awarded a sum of £200 for personal injuries; if the Personal Injury Committee reheard the case on the 26th July, 1923, when applicant was represented by counsel, and when evidence as to his injuries was given by two medical men, and if he will state why Mr. Brennan or his solicitors have not received any information as to the result of the rehearing.

Mr. Brennan was awarded a decree for £200 and costs by the County Court Judge of Leix on the 19th June, 1922. The case was heard by the Compensation (Personal InJuries) Committee on the 27th September last. Their investigations have now been completed, and they have forwarded to me a recommendation that no compensation should be paid.
