Vol. 7 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - RETURN OF GUN.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that Mr. Patrick Quinn, of Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford, made application last November to the Chief Ordnance Officer, Island Bridge Barracks, Dublin, for the return of a single-barrel gun, B.L., which he surrendered to the British military authorities, and at the same time enclosed the receipt he received from the said authorities, and whether, notwithstanding this, his gun has not yet been returned, although the local sergeant of the Gárda Síochána assured him he would have it returned in a fortnight from the date of his application for return of same, and if he will see that this claim is attended to.

Mr. Quinn's gun was sent to the Custume Barracks, Athlone, on the 30th ultimo, for issue to him on production of a police permit. Mr. Quinn was advised accordingly on the same date.
