Vol. 7 No. 5

LAND PURCHASE FINANCE. - DUBLIN ELECTRICITY SUPPLY BILL.

I beg to move:

That the Dáil concur with the Seanad in their Message communicated to the Dáil on the 7th day of May, 1924, that it is expedient that a Joint Committee of both Houses be appointed to consider the Dublin Electricity Supply Bill, 1924."

Is there any objection taken to this motion?

Might I suggest that these motions dealing with Electricity Supply Bills should be postponed and dealt with together with the Dublin Corporation Electricity Supply Bill when it comes forward?

Is the Deputy objecting to this motion or not?

Mr. BYRNE

I do not desire to object.

The Private Bill procedure is very distinct and quite fixed. If the Deputy objects, the motion will not be taken. If he does not object, the motion will be taken.

Mr. BYRNE

For the moment I do not remember the procedure, but I will object until such time as the Dublin Electricity Supply Bill from the Corporation is being dealt with.
