Vol. 7 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. KILDARE COMPENSATION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when Mr. T. Brennan, owner of two houses at Passlands, Monasterevan, Co. Kildare, will be paid rent due since July, 1923, and compensation for damages done during military occupation from August, 1922, to November, 1923; further, whether as the houses were left in a derelict condition by the military, he will expedite payment so that Mr. Brennan can carry out the necessary repairs as soon as possible, and thus save his property from going to ruin.

The Commissioners of Public Works are dealing with Mr. Brennan's claim. I understand that they hope to be in a position to settle the case within a few days.
