Vol. 7 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - WOUNDED SOLDIER'S CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that Volunteer Martin Byrne, No. V.R. 3807, 2nd Infantry, 2nd Eastern Division, of Dispensary Lane, Wicklow, was wounded on December 21st, 1922, as a result of which his leg was amputated, that he was discharged on March 21st, 1924, as medically unfit, without any pension or allowance, and whether, seeing that he has a wife and large family totally dependent upon him, he will have his claim expedited.

Mr. Byrne's claim for pension or gratuity is about to be decided.
