Vol. 7 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BRIDGE REPAIRS IN CO. CARLOW.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he can explain why the bridges over the River Deerin, at Knocklow, and Rathglass, Tullow, and the bridge on the River Slaney at Rathmore, are not included in the scheme for bridge repairs outlined by the County Surveyor to the Carlow County Council; whether, in view of the fact that there is a large number of unemployed in the district, the Minister will see his way to have these bridges included in the scheme of repairs so as to provide work as soon as possible.

I am making inquiries as regards the first part of the question, and I shall inform the Deputy as soon as possible of the result.

The second part of the question is one for the County Council.
