Vol. 7 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OOLA OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state why the claim of Richard Power, of Moon-more, Oola, Co. Tipperary, for an old age pension, was disallowed, and if he is aware that the claimant is without any means whatever, and if it is correct that a pension was recommended by the local committee.

This claim was disallowed on means. The claimant held a farm of 24 acres of land described as of good quality and carrying the usual stock, and it appears that by deed dated the 14th November, 1922, he assigned his interest in the holding to his son, with reservations on behalf of himself, his wife, and his second son. The local pension sub-committee have twice recommended or allowed the claim.
