Vol. 7 No. 23

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - UNION QUAY BARRACKS, CORK.

asked the Minister for Justice if he can state when the Union Quay Barracks and the Bridewell, Cork, will be rebuilt.

I am informed by the Commissioners of Public Works that tenders for the rebuilding of Union Quay Barracks, Cork, are about to be called for, and the work will commence in a few weeks. The requirements and plans in regard to the restoration of the Bridewell have to be worked out, and the work of rebuilding these premises will not be commenced for five or six months. It is expected to have the Union Quay Barracks finished early in 1925, and the Bridewell later in the same year.
