Vol. 7 No. 24

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - DAMAGE TO LUCAN LODGE.

asked the Minister for Finance if he can state whether a claim has been received for damage done to Lucan Lodge, Lucan, Co. Dublin, during its occupation by National Forces between October, 1922, and July, 1923, and if so, when the claim will be dealt with, and also whether any rent has been paid or is payable for the period of this occupation.

A claim for rent and damage to the premises has been received, and was the subject of discussion between the Commissioners of Public Works and the Solicitors to the claimant on the 26th of March last, when a proposal was made to them for final settlement of the claim to which, however, no reply has been received. A draft for the award is, however, being issued.
