Vol. 7 No. 25

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - GRASS LANDS AT RATHCOOLE.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether his attention has been called to the extent to which grass lands have this year been let on the eleven months system in the Rathcoole district of County Dublin; whether, in particular, he has been informed of cases of farms having been let for grazing for eleven months, the owners of which have taken portions of the Verschoyle Campbell Estate near Saggart for grazing purposes; and whether he is in a position to expedite the division of these lands amongst uneconomic holders and landless men in the district.

The Land Commission have not the information referred to as regards letting by farmers near Rathcoole of their holdings for grazing, and the taking by them of portions of the Campbell Estate for grazing. All lands coming within the provisions of the recent Land Act will be dealt with as rapidly as possible.
