CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - MOHILL (CO. LEITRIM) SHOOTINGS.

TOMÁS MacARTÚIR

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state what awards have been made in the cases of Mr. Francis O'Reilly, Miscawn, Aughnasheelin, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim; Mr. Geo. O'Reilly, Derrinkeher, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim; Mr. Michael Wrynn, Tarmon, Ballinamore; Mr. John Connolly, France, Ballinalee, Co. Longford; Mrs. Byrne, Currycramp, Dromod, Co. Leitrim, and Mrs. Baxter, Kildough, Bawnboy, Co. Cavan, in respect of the loss of their sons, who were shot at Selton, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, by British forces, in March, 1920.

I do not appear to have received claims from Mr. Francis O'Reilly or Mrs. Byrne. Forms of application have now been sent to them. The claims made by Mr. George O'Reilly, Mr. Michael Wrynn, Mr. John Connolly and Mrs. Baxter are on the point of being assessed.
