Vol. 7 No. 28

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - DEPUTIES AS PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARIES.

asked the President if it is proposed to appoint any Deputies as Parliamentary Secretaries in accordance with the provisions of the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924, and if it is his intention to submit names in that connection for the approval of this Dáil.

It is the intention of the Executive Council to appoint Parliamentary Secretaries. These appointments are not subject to approval by the Dáil.

Will the President state if such appointments have been made, who filled the appointments and what the appointments are?

Notice of any appointments made will appear in Iris Oifigiúil in due course.

Am I to understand from that that these appointments will not be announced through the Dáil at all, though they are appointments in the Dáil?

No; they will not be announced except in Iris Oifigiúil.
