DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received repeated applications from Mrs. O'Rourke, Upper-church, Thurles, for payment of an account for goods supplied the National Army, and whether payment of same will be expedited.

Two accounts only have been received at Headquarters from Mrs. O'Rourke, the first for £93 18s. 8d. in respect of goods supplied during period from the 13th July, 1922, to the 31st March, 1923, and the second for £21 18s. 5d. in respect of billeting, etc., during period from October, 1922, to February, 1923.

The former was settled by a payment of £91 11s. 9d. on the 3rd April, 1923, and the latter by a payment of £20 16s. 5d. on the 13th August, 1923.

Deductions in both cases were in respect of overcharges in excess of authorised rates.
