Vol. 8 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ALLEGED SEIZURE OF BICYCLE.

asked the Minister for Defence if a bicycle, the property of Mr. James Hyland, of Carrigeen, Lisronagh, Clonmel, which was seized by the military from the house of Mr. Shannon, Friary Street, Tipperary, in May, 1922, will be returned to the owner, or if, in the alternative, compensation will be granted to him.

I have no previous information regarding the alleged seizure of the bicycle, and no communication appears to have been received at Headquarters from Mr. Hyland. I am, however, having investigations made in the matter, and will communicate the result to the Deputy as soon as possible.
