Vol. 8 No. 3

COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - MOTION BY THE PRESIDENT.

The PRESIDENT: I move:—

Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas aon phinsin is iníoctha fé údarás aon Achta a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun forálacha do dhéanamh chun Pinsin Sheirbhíse Mileata d'íoc le baill áirithe agus le seana-bhaill áirithe de sna Fórasi Náisiúnta agus d'Fhórsa Cosanta Shaorstáit Eireann.

That it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of any pensions payable under the authority of any Act of the present Session to provide for the payment of Military Service Pensions to certain members and former members of the National Forces and the Defence Forces of Saorstát Eireann.

Would I be in order in moving to postpone the consideration of this resolution until Deputy O'Connor is here to do the nation's work? We were lectured by him on our idleness this afternoon, and I think the least he might do would be to be here.

I am afraid the motion would not be in order.

It would be quite right, though.

Question put and agreed to.
Resolution reported.
