Vol. 8 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - WELLINGTON BRIDGE COMPENSATION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state why a claim for compensation has not been paid to Mr. Thomas Morrin, Newtown, Wellington Bridge, Co. Wexford, in respect of damage caused to a motor car, his property, by National Troops.

Mr. Morris' car was seized as a result of information received to the effect that he was voluntarily permitting its use by Irregulars. His claim for compensation was disallowed for the same reason. I am, however, having the case reopened for further consideration, and will communicate the result to the Deputy in due course.
