Vol. 8 No. 7

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ARMY ACCOUNT (GORT).

asked the Minister for Defence whether payment of £55 12s. 6d. has yet been made to Mr. James Cahill, carpenter, of George's Street, Gort, Co. Galway, for work done at Gort Barracks in 1922; also whether payment has been made to Patrick Fahey, Crow Street, Gort, for work done in the same period at Gort Barracks.

Payment of the amount mentioned has not yet been made to Mr. James Cahill. The full details of the work done by him have only recently reached Headquarters. His account will be settled very shortly. No claim has been received at Headquarters from Mr. Fahey in respect of work performed at Gort Barracks. If particulars are furnished to the Cashier, Army Finance Offices, Portobello Barracks, Dublin, the matter will receive due attention.
