Vol. 8 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - INTER-ALLIED CONFERENCE.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he has received an invitation to the forthcoming Inter-Allied Conference; if it is intended to be present; and if he proposes to ascertain the views of the Oireachtas as to the line of policy it would desire him to pursue at the Conference, in the event of his being present.

I have not received an invitation to the Inter-Allied Conference. The other points will only arise in the event of our receiving such invitation.

Will the Minister state, arising out of that answer, if an invitation has been received to any conference as between this Government and the British Government respecting the forthcoming Inter-Allied Conference?

An invitation has been received to attend a conference to take place on Friday preliminary to the Inter-Allied Conference referred to in this question.

Could the Minister say who will represent the Saorstát at that Conference?

I cannot say exactly for the moment but it will probably be the High Commissioner.
