asked the Minister for Finance if he has received a claim for compensation from James Crowe, Francis Street, Kilrush, in respect of his property destroyed during the occupation by the Military of premises of which he was caretaker.

The Commissioners of Public Works duly received a claim for compensation from James Crowe, of Francis Street, Kilrush, in respect of his property destroyed during the occupation of premises commandeered by the Military. The Chief Valuer of the Commissioners was at Kilkee on the 9th and 10th instant for the purpose of discussing claims and arriving at provisional agreements with claimants as to the amount of compensation payable. The claim of James Crowe was on the list for hearing yesterday, the 10th instant.
