WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ACCOUNTS AGAINST ARMY.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that there is a sum of £7 2s. 0d. due to Mr. Robert Griffin, William Street, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, for work done in Cashel Union, from August 23rd, 1922, to November 23rd, 1922, during which period National Troops were in occupation of the Union, and if he will expedite payment of this account.

A communication is being addressed to Mr. Griffin asking for particulars of the work done.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that an account of £87s. 0s. 0d. is due to D. Lynch and Co., Drapers, Macroom, and that this account was certified as correct and payment promised some months ago.

An account for £87 4s. 7d. received from Messrs. D. Lynch & Co., has not yet been certified as correct. The Department of Defence is in communication with the firm with a view to an early settlement of the claim.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that an account is due to Mr. P. Crowley, Draper, Macroom, and if payment of same will be expedited.

Portions of Mr. Crowley's account were settled by issue of cheques for £2 10s. 0d. and £54 13s. 10d. on the 14th and 18th ult. respectively. Settlement of the remaining portion of the account is being expedited.
