Vol. 9 No. 1

DÁIL IN COMMITTEE. - DÁIL RESUMES.

Bill reported.

I would ask the Dáil to take the Report Stage to-morrow, in order that this Committee may get to work. There is a meeting of the Joint Committee on Friday morning at 10 o'clock, and it would be a great help if they were to know that they had the power to administer oaths. If the Dáil will do that, I will not move the other Bill with regard to costs, which is more conflicting and more contentious, but will let them give it more consideration.

Is the Deputy sure of a House to-morrow in order to enable the Standing Orders to be complied with?

The Deputy will do his best.

Is there any objection to taking the Report Stage to-morrow?

I think you cannot decide that matter now, because of the Standing Orders prohibiting it. It will have to be dealt with to-morrow when you know what number of members is present.

Ordered that the Report Stage of the Oireachtas Witnesses Oaths Bill be taken on Thursday, October 23.

We are not taking the Private Bill Costs Bill to-day.

I will postpone that until to-morrow, in order to give Deputies more time to consider it.

Ordered that the Committee Stage of Private Bill Costs Bill be taken on Thursday.
